Margaret Cato Purvis

SAVANNAH – Margaret Cato Purvis, 85, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was a native of Edgefield, SC and a longtime resident of Savannah. Mrs. Purvis is survived by her husband of sixty years, John Robert Purvis; three daughters, Christine P. King, Elizabeth P. Colson and her husband, Terry, and Margaret A. Purvis; one son, Eugene M. Purvis and his wife, Stacey; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at St. George’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. James Parker officiating. Interment will be private in Edgefield, SC.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. George’s Episcopal Church, 15 Willow Rd., Savannah, GA 31419.
